I listened to this song today called Walking on Water by Lecrae.
Some of the lyrics are:
Yeah, go ‘head, ask me how I do it, bruh
The sky falling, but I’m still flyin’ through-and-through
Hey this ain’t willpower, it’s wheel power
With God at the wheel, now that’s some real power
I feel power, so I’m gon’ trust that
That’s how I persevere, that’s how I jump back
Yeah, the hurricanes never go away
So I’mma stand firm, tell ‘em I don’t blow away
This song reminded me of Matthew 7:25 in the Message Bible which says “Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock”.
Quite often we complain about the storms of life but when we do that we give them power. In the words of Lecrae ‘With God at the wheel, now that’s some real power.’
I normally say that it is our attitudes to problems that cause us more issues than the problem itself. If we remain calm and positive, we will be more likely to make wiser decisions and the problem will be over and we will be stronger as a result.
Yeah, the hurricanes never go away So I’mma stand firm, tell ‘em I don’t blow away!
