A problem is only a problem until you find the solution. Are you searching for a solution to a problem that has so far remained elusive? Maybe you need a second opinion or some advice concerning a situation you are facing? Whatever the need, here I want to help, whether it be a problem, an irritant, a matter of the heart, a situation at work, dealing with children, youth issues, suicidal thoughts, finance, the stress of day-to-day living or any other issue. Talking really helps. Often we bottle up all our emotions and then put a lid on it. Eventually the lid flies off and everything comes pouring out, often at the wrong time and it can cause a lot of fall out. Just putting your thoughts and feelings out there can help you to get things straight in your mind.

I recently became born again but my friends do not respect my decision at all and are putting pressure on me to go out with them the way I used to and indulge in things I now know to be wrong and unscriptural. I do not want to lose my friends, I’ve known them since I was at infant school but none of them are saved and all tell me I’m making a mistake by embracing God.
Funmi, I want to assure you that you have not made a mistake; rather you have made the best decision of your life. I want to congratulate and commend you for taking a stand and sticking to it in the midst of pressure from your friends. I want to encourage you not to give up but to keep going and stick to what you want to do with your life. If you live another person’s life, who will live your life for you? God has saved you at this time of your life as He has a purpose and an assignment for you to fulfill. Please don’t waste valuable time thinking about what others are saying about you, but instead think of what God wants you to do with your life. 1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” I am sure that many of your friends secretly respect your bravery and ability to stand up and be different and if you keep standing strong, some of them will join you. I would advise that you get involved in serving in your local church, this will keep you busy and you will make new friends who may even have gone through the same situation that you are facing now. Yes, the reality is that by taking a stand for Christ, you may lose some friends and from experience, I know it is difficult to say goodbye to them but God will always restore back to you more than what you lost. So don’t give up, keep shining for Jesus, find your purpose and fulfill it.
